Charlotteans - This is a call to action in prayer and your presence!

Clergy and city leaders are calling all churches to come out in a show of unity and solidarity of love and support for our Charlotte. Rally your congregations and friends and family to join us.

Prayer Walk and Vigil
Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016
4-7 pm
First Baptist Church, Charlotte
301 S. Davidson St., Charlotte, NC

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commands the blessing, even life for evermore. Psalm 133

We are asking for heaven’s commanded blessing on our city!

See you all there!

Thank you faith family and friends from literally around the world for your prayers and all your messages of support and good will for our city and the Charlotte region! Special thanks and blessings for our many faith leaders for engagement in prayers and constructive dialogue across the community at large, especially for affected family members, law enforcement, and business owners. We salute public defender Toussaint Romain for his tireless courage and love for the most at risk members of our community. We are very proud of Chief Putney! The empathy, humility, and self-discipline, exercised by these men has been a major guiding hand in calm and effective engagement. Thank you for representing the men and women who sacrifice to serve and for providing a platform for justice and healing.

We are in a Joseph moment as he said concerning the opposition he faced, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." — Genesis 50:20 NIV

In God’s hands intended evil becomes eventual good.

We are asking for continued prayer covering through the weekend. Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in peace, comfort, truth, harmony, and wisdom.

Join us on the Wall in fasting prayers tonight. #watchofthelord; #forourcity!
