Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for Peace on the Korean Peninsula
Friday, April 28, 2017—In the face of rising tensions and threats from North Korea, the United States has installed THAAD, an advanced missile defense system, in South Korea. The US has also deployed warships and a submarine to the region. Kim Jong-un is said to be planning a sixth nuclear test and additional long-range missile tests in defiance of international sanctions and security. The recent US show of force is intended to deter North Korea from launching attacks on its neighbors.
Pray for peace on the Korean Peninsula. Bind back the demonic forces that hold the people of North Korea in bondage to a tyrannical dictator. Pray for the Lord to uncover and destroy North Korea’s nuclear plans. Bind the movements of North Korean missiles and troops. Let us also cry out for North Korea to turn to Christ. Pray for the Spirit of revival to sweep the entire peninsula in a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Declare recovery of the Christian legacy and heritage of Pyongyang where 100 years ago at the time of Azusa, revival broke out that swept across the Korean peninsula in a mighty wave that lasted for forty years.
Intercede for our military leaders and the thousands of American troops and their families stationed in this region. Pray for continued wisdom for President Trump, Vice President Pence and their cabinet as they lead America through this crisis. Loose the angel armies of heaven to bring God’s government and peace to the Korean people.

Isa. 43:2, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”
Ps. 149:6-9, “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment— this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!”
Isa. 61:1-2, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
Isa. 60:1-2, "Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you."
Ps. 33:10-11, “The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.”
Rom. 11:28-29, “Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
