Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for Chicago & Key Cities ripped by Violence

FRIDAY, February 8, 2013 Law enforcement seems to have few answers to violence and the escalating murder rates in Chicago. The police attribute the rise in violence to street gangs and drugs. Spread a prayer blanket over Chicago and other key cities riven by gang warfare and drugs. Pray also for your city. Pray for the protection of law enforcement. Let us agree for deliverance for those bound in the gang cultures and pray that young gang members will find Christ and be filled with the Father’s love. Many of the police point to fatherlessness as the root cause of teen violence. May God heal families and restore fathers in our culture.

Jeremiah 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”
Jer. 31:16-17
Malachi 4:5-6
