Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for Venezuela

FRIDAY, April 12, 2013 Crucial elections are being held in Venezuela on Sunday, April 14 following the death of Hugo Chavez in March. This influential nation in Latin America started following a very socialist path under the Chavez regime beginning in 1998, developing a close relationship with communist Cuba. The choice in this election is between the heir of Hugo Chavez, Nicholas Maduro, head of the United Socialist Party, or Henrique Capriles of the opposition coalition. Pray for Venezuela, that they will have peaceful and fair elections. May the Lord be glorified in Venezuela. May every satanic plan of communism and witchcraft be brought down. May freedom be restored. May God's great destiny for this nation come forth. May the churches be strengthened and flourish. May this nation be a godly nation with godly leaders who will bless Israel. May revival sweep Venezuela.

1 Tim 2:1-4, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

2 Chron. 7:14, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Ps 68:1, "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him."

Is. 54:17, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord."
