Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for Jobs and Economic Recovery

FRIDAY, July 19, 2013 Recent reports indicate the absence of economic recovery in the U.S. Only 47% of adults have a full time job. There is a severe shortage of job opportunities. Many in the workforce are only able to find part-time employment, and many more survive only through government assistance.

Break the strongholds binding our nation’s economy. Pray for those looking for jobs or starting new businesses. Bind back any excessive regulations stemming growth and expansion of companies. Pray for God’s mercy and His answer regarding our spiraling national debt. May God help us break the power of debt to recover economic prosperity and an abundant supply of jobs.

1 Sam. 30:8, “So David inquired of the Lord, saying, ‘Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?’ And He answered him, ‘Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.’”

Ps. 34:10, “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”

2 Cor. 8:9, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

Deut. 28:11-12, “And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.”
