Watch Focus: Israel, Iran, and the Middle East

Friday, Jul 17, 2015 This week the P5 + 1 world leaders announced an historic nuclear agreement with Iran that many believe will leave Israel and other Middle East nations very vulnerable to nuclear threat from Iran in the near future. Let us cover Israel with our prayers in regards to this increased threat. Let us hold up the hands of Mr. Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, even as Aaron and Hur held up the hands of Moses during the attack from Amalek in Exod. 17. May the other key nations in this volatile region have wisdom as they grow closer to Israel in light of this increased threat of a nuclear arms race.

We urge the watchmen intercessors across the nations to encourage each other and increase our commitment to praise and prayer.

I Kings 8:56, “Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.”

I Chron. 16:35, “And say, ‘Save us, O God of our salvation; gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles, to give thanks to Your holy name, to triumph in Your praise.’”

2 Sam. 22:1-3, “Then David spoke to the Lord the words of this song, on the day when the Lord had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: ‘The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; the God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence.”

Matt. 7:11, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

Phil. 4:6, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

1 Tim 2:8, “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

1 Pet. 2:9, Ps. 4:1, Luke 18:1, I Thess 5:16-18, Judges 5:3, I Chron. 29:13, Jer. 17:14, Dan. 4:34, Heb. 13:15, Ps. 4:1, Luke 18:1.
