Weekly Focus: Veterans Day

Friday, November 10, 2017—On this Veteran’s Day, give thanks for all our veterans. Release God’s blessing and lift up prayers for all the men and women who have served in our army forces. Pray for wounded veterans of all past wars. May America always honor and care for our veterans who have served to help keep us free and at peace today.

Continue to pray for Sutherland Springs, Texas, where 26 innocent people were killed and 20 wounded during a Sunday morning service at the small town’s First Baptist Church. Let us lift up the families who are enduring gravest heartache at the loss of their loved ones. May the Spirit of God comfort the congregation and all those who lost loved ones. May the peace, calm, and comfort of our Lord Jesus surround the entire community.

Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We remember fellow believers who are oppressed and tortured for Christ’s sake. In communist China, Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, and other parts of the word, violent radicals or oppressive communism continue to persecute and even murder Christians.
We thank God and pray for our law enforcement. We ask the Lord for their safety and guidance as the carry out their duties with integrity.
As our children return to school, we cover them in prayer. Whether they attend public school, private school, home school, or college, we pray a special anointing over them.
There is a declaration of war in our culture against the identity of our children. Our foundational values and the preservation of identity for individuals and families through Christ as the building block of society is under attack.
Pray for financial recovery from what many economists are calling a recession. We humbly pray for a healthy economy and that integrity would be restored in leadership.
