The Battle is the Lord’s

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord (2 Chron. 20:3).

What was the first thing King Jehoshaphat did when the crisis arrived? He called a fast so the entire nation could bow before the Lord’s face and pray, “Lord we humble ourselves.” When we take a low position, we open the door for God to take the high position.

Jehoshaphat prayed, “O God…We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You." What challenges are you facing today? Take your eyes of the problem and turn them to the God of angel armies. Look to the One who has triumphed at the cross. The battle is the Lord’s!

Prayer:
Father in heaven, there is nothing in heaven and earth that does bow before Your authority and great name. I exalt You over my life. I exalt You over my family. I exalt You over my nation. Lord, I look to You in this time of crisis. Stretch forth your hand to do mighty signs, wonders and miracles in the mighty name of your holy Servant, Jesus!

There is one thing that God has clearly commanded every one who calls on His name to pray for: Jerusalem. It is the city He calls by His name.
Jesus asked an amazing question related to prayer: “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” In other words, Jesus is saying that your faith is directly expressed by your prayer life.
In Luke 18:1-8, the widow demonstrates the power of persistent, insistent and focused prayer.
The enemy hates prayer, particularly corporate prayer, because he knows that when two or more come into agreement with the Holy Spirit, the devil will lose every time.
