Weekly Watch Focus: God Protect Us from Jihadi Terror

FRIDAY, April 26, 2013 The Boston Marathon Bombings indicate that Islamic Jihadi terror cells may be incubating in key cities in the United States. Pray that they will be exposed and dealt with by law enforcement. Jihadi terror is cruel and merciless. In 2004 they massacred more than 300 civilians, the majority of them children, in Beslan, Russia. Bind the murderous demonic spirit of Jihad that inspires these terrorists worldwide. Many nations, including Israel and India, face these attacks regularly. Pray that key U.S. government media and law enforcement figures will cease minimizing the threat of radical Islam in the name of political correctness. May God put a shield of protection around our children from future attacks. Let us also intercede for the 264 injured in the Boston bombings, some who lost their limbs, and for comfort for the families who lost loved ones. Pray for the people of Boston and also for the Israelis who have to deal with terrorism on a regular basis. May God shield Israel.

Secondary Watch Focus

Pray against the spread of Bird Flu, a lethal virus which is once again breaking out in China and Taiwan. The H7N9 virus has infected 108 people in China and has spread into Taiwan.

Numbers 16:4, “And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped.”

1 Pet. 2:24, “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

2 Sam. 24:25, “And David built there an altar to the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord heeded the prayers for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Israel.”
