Weekly Watch Focus: God Bless America

FRIDAY, Jun 29, 2013 2013 As we celebrate America’s 237th birthday, let us give thanks for America and for the many blessings we enjoy of liberty and prosperity. May we fill the heavens with sounds of rejoicing and praise for the uniqueness of America and its call as a beacon of freedom through recent history. May we honor the Founders who gave us the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Impacted by the Bible and the Great Awakening, our Founding Fathers laid the foundations of a great nation to honor God. We cry out for another Great Awakening, helping us to return to honor God in all our institutions, and framing the coming generations in biblical principles, so that they would be favored and blessed. Lord, may America always be Israel’s best friend and chief ally. Lord, send Your grace on America, and may we walk in the ways that please the Lord.

Jer. 6:16, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.”

Ps. 33:12,22, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance… Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.”

2 Chron. 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

2 Cor. 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
