Weekly Watch Focus: Fast of Humbing and Repentance

Friday, Aug 30, 2013, We are calling believers to a season of prayer and fasting, as season of humbling and repentance, seeking the Lord afresh for ourselves personally, for our families, for our churches, and our nation. We are asking for protection and favor for our children. We begin the corporate fast on Sept. 3 after Labor Day.

We are confident that God will hear us according to His promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 to heal our land, as we seek His face.

2 Chron. 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Joel 1:13, 14, “Gird yourselves and lament, you priests; wail, you who minister before the altar; come, lie all night in sackcloth, you who minister to my God; for the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your God. Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.”
