Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for Midterm Elections

Please pray for the 2014 US midterm elections to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. These elections will play a critical role in determining the path for our nation in the future. Nationally all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 33 of the 100 seats in the United Stated Senate will be voted on.

It is essential that Christians actively participate in these elections and let their choices make a real impact. May their choices be guided by godly wisdom. Let us pray for the success of those who are truly concerned for the future of America, for its ongoing prosperity, strength, moral fiber, economic growth, and friendship with Israel.

May they help slow the erosion of religious liberties and strengthen the institution of marriage as being between a man and a woman. May Christians help vote in leaders at the national, state, and local levels who honor and strengthen the Judeo-Christian foundations. May God give us leaders in both Houses of Congress that will bring back financial integrity and a restored economy. May they restore our strong support for Israel, so The Lord can bless America (Gen. 12:3).

Let is bind in the name of Jesus all fraud in this election. Also, bind the spirit of witchcraft and manipulation from the media.

1 Timothy 2:1-4, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Prov. 11:1, 14, "Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord,

But a just weight is His delight. Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

2 Chron. 7:14, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Matt 18:19-20;

Gen. 12:2-3;

Num. 24:9b;

Jer. 6:16.
