Weekly Watch Focus: Welcome Holy Spirit, Awakening, and Spirit of Revival

Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, As we are beginning this corporate season of fasting, prayer, and humbling, let us cry out for the Lord’s presence in one accord, saying, “Welcome, Holy Spirit!” May this cry, made with hearts of deep humility and repentance, fill us with His presence as individuals and churches, sweeping over our nation. May His wonderful Holy Spirit be with us each day of 2015. May His presence trigger a great awakening for our land. Let the glory shine through us with a fresh spirit of evangelism for a great harvest in the coming year. In Your mercy, in Christ’s name protect and prosper us. Let us give thanks and praise the Lord in advance for answered prayers each day of 2015.

Ps. 100:4, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”

Acts 2:17, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.”

2 Chron. 7:14, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Ezra 8:21-23  “Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, ‘The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.’ So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.”

Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.”

Ps. 91:9-11 "Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways."

Phil. 4:19 "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Ex. 33:14-16; Jn. 14:15-18

We also want to remember to pray for France as they have gone through a terrible terrorist attack that has left eleven journalists and one police officer dead at the hands of Islamic terrorists. Pray that the families who lost loved ones will be comforted and that peace will reign in France. May the Lord quickly apprehend the evil-doers.
