Watch Focus: God Protect our Armed Forces

Friday, Jul 24, 2015 Last week a twenty-four year old Islamist, Mohammed Abdulazeez killed four Marines and one Navy Sailor in Chattanooga, TN. Also, the Islamic State, committed to global jihad, has openly targeted all members of our armed forces and their families for assassination even on U.S. soil. Let us honor these five heroes, and pray God’s comfort for their families.

By the rules established by the U.S. government, our armed forces are not permitted to carry arms and protect themselves. Let us pray for God’s special protection for our armed forces here and abroad. May God’s holy angels protect their families. Pray that federal, state, and local authorities have wisdom in providing protection for these men and women to whom we owe so much in guarding our liberties.

May every member of our armed forces know that we hold them all in the highest regard. May we teach all our children to continue to honor all those who have served or are now serving in our military.

Ps. 91: 4, 11, “He will cover you with His pinions,  and under His wings you will find refuge;  His faithfulness is a shield and buckler… For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
Ps 27:1-5, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?. When evildoers assail me  to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes,  it is they who stumble and fall. Though an army encamp against me,  my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet] I will be confident. One thing have I asked of the Lord,  that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord    all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple. For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will lift me high upon a rock.”
Eph. 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ps. 107:20, Jer. 29:7, Jer. 31:17
