Watch Focus: Shalom for Our Cities

Friday, Aug 7, 2015 The rates of violence and murder have gone up astronomically in some of the major cities in the U.S. this summer. Please pray for these cities such as Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Milwaukee, as well as your own city. Bind the spirits of violence and addiction, behind local gangs and drug dealers. Pray for local law enforcement. Some police forces feel local authorities will not have their back if things get intense. Pray for the families of these police forces who are daily putting their lives in danger, keeping the peace. Let us remember especially the families of police officers who have lost their lives carrying out their duties. Let us agree that respect and honor for the law and law officers be restored back in our society.

Jer. 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

Jeremiah 31:16,17, “Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the Lord, that your children shall come back to their own border.”

Col 2:15, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
