Weekly Watch Focus:
The Advent: Rejoice! The Lord Is Near

FRIDAY, December 18, 2015; Let us declare the nearness of the Lord's Glory and presence this Christmas season in an hour of dark threats of terrorism and violence. Through our worship and praise, release the might of Jesus as Jehovah Sabaoth--the Captain of the Armies of the Lord. May the angels of God protect our schools, churches, shopping malls, airports, stadiums, and places of public gatherings.

As we write this focus, all the Los Angeles public schools have been shut down by terror threats. Pray for our law enforcement agencies as they help to keep us safe. Pray they may not be shackled by political correctness in doing their jobs.

During this Christmas season, we declare the Lord is near to all who watch for Him and call upon His name.

Luke 2:13-16 “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!’ …The shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.’ And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.”

May His angels keep company with you and your family at this glorious time of the year.

Merry Christmas!

Mahesh & Bonnie Chavda
