Weekly Watch Focus: A Star over the Holy Land

FRIDAY, Dec. 15, 2017, All over the world, people’s eyes and hearts are turning toward Christmas as we recall the star that shone over the Holy Land, leading the wise men to worship the Lamb born in Bethlehem, Jesus, our Emanuel. Let us take pause from all our endeavors to turn our hearts toward celebration, worship, and thanksgiving, and welcome the Advent season with joy. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel. Bind every plan of destruction, and declare the Shalom of God over the Holy Land.

At this time where family and friends get together, pray for the safety of those who will be traveling. Also, pray specifically for members of our armed forces serving far from home. We cover them and their families, asking for the Lord to give each of them a special touch this Christmas.

Continue to cover areas under threat from ISIS. Thank the Lord for God’s intervention in the terror attack in Manhattan this week. Put up a shield of prayer against further attacks and pray for every plan of terror to be exposed. Also, continue to pray for California and pray that the fires will cease.
