Weekly Watch Focus: A Shield of Protection, Blessing, and Increase for Every Family

FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2018—Pray for all families and God’s corporate family—His Church. Put the blood line around our homes, our churches, our cities, and our nation. Cry out to God specifically on behalf of our children. Cancel out any plan of the enemy against God’s people. Put a special covering over our school systems. Break the yoke of generational curses, and release supernatural blessing for favor and increase. Declare over your house, “God’s plans for me and my family are good plans. He is giving us shalom, a hope, and a wonderful future” (see Jer. 29:11).

Prophesy over your church, "God has good plans.” Prophesy increase. Put a prayer covering over your church leadership. Pray for a flow of God’s supply for every financial need for your family, and pray for your church to be strengthened to extend the gospel of the Kingdom.

Part 2: Put a Shield of Prayer over our Law Enforcement

This week an officer in our community responding to a call was killed in the line of duty. We are seeing violence against our law enforcement rise across the land. As we plead the blood over our families and churches, plead the blood over every man and woman who daily puts their lives on the line as they protect our citizens and keep order in our cities. Put a prayer shield over all of our police forces, first responders, and their families. Let us remember the families of those police officers who have been killed or injured in the line of duty, praying for the Lord to comfort those who are mourning.

Part 3: March for Life

Monday, January 22, marks the 45th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in our land. Today, thousands of Christians are gathering to stand in the gap for our nation and stand for the sanctity of life for every person from the womb to the grave. Destruction of innocents is an abomination unto God and can release the judgments of God. We repent for the killing of babies in our nation and ask God for forgiveness. We plead the blood of Jesus over every drop of innocent blood shed in our land. Pray for God to help us bring in the kind of revival that will bring a fundamental shift to the value systems of our nation and restore a heart of mercy toward the unborn.
