Weekly Watch Focus: California Wildfires

August 3, 2018—Continue to pray for California as the state battles a devastating and deadly wildfire season. The Carr Fire has claimed the lives of at least six people, torched 100,000 acres in Shasta County, destroyed over 1,000 structures and threats more than 5,000 others. Evacuation orders are still in effect for thousands of residents. In other areas the Mendocino Complex and Ferguson Fires have burned more than 50,000 acres each. Hot, dry weather and gusting winds have contributed to the extreme danger of these fires. Let us agree together for the fires to cease in California, especially in Shasta County. Stand in the gap and plead the blood of Jesus over this great state. Pray a hedge of protection for the people of California and bind back death and destruction. Pray that the winds cease and supernatural rains come to quench the fires. Pray for the safety and success of the more than 3,300 fire-fighters who are working to bring the fires under control. We pray comfort for all who have lost loved ones, homes, businesses, and properties. Pray for a quick recovery and full restoration for the areas destroyed. We pray for healing for those who have been injured.
