Weekly Watch Focus: 2019—The Year of Increase: Beginning with Humbling and Repentance

Friday, January 4, 2019—We are beginning the year with a season of corporate fasting and prayer, humbling ourselves and seeking God’s presence for the year. We turn away from pride and apathy. May the Lord hear from heaven, heed our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. We declare the lordship and blessing of Jesus Christ over us, our children, our church, our city, and our nation in 2019.
 
We enter into 2019 with faith and confidence that this year will be a year of increase with a great harvest of souls with signs, wonders, and miracles. Psalm 115:14 says,
“May the Lord increase you more and more, you and your children.” Activate this promise with your declaration, praise, thanksgiving, and worship of the King of Glory. Let us proclaim His glory and ask for His presence to go with us into 2019 for blessing and protection over us, our families, and nation (Exodus 33:14).

2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
 
Ezra 8:21-23, “ Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, ‘The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.’  So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.”
 
Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
 
Exodus 33:14, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
 
Deuteronomy 8:7-10, “For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.”
 
Deuteronomy 11:11-12, “But the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.”
