Special Watch Focus: Iraq

Friday, January 3, 2020—Early yesterday U.S. missile strikes killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, the terrorist leader of Iran's elite Quds Force who had orchestrated the recent attacks on allied bases in Iraq, killing or injuring thousands of U.S. servicemen, as well as the attack on the U.S. embassy this week. Iraqis danced in the streets at the news of his death as this feared terrorist had killed thousands of innocent civilians across the Middle East.
Put a hedge of protection around American and coalition forces in Iraq and the Middle East. Bind terror attacks and violence targeting our forces and innocent civilians in the region. Bind back manipulation and witchcraft in the press and political spheres reporting on these events. Pray for President Trump and his advisors. Pray they have the counsel and wisdom of the Lord Jesus, the Captain of the Armies of God. Pray the heavenly host surround and defend our soldiers as they go out to do battle against the power of terror and oppression. We pray for the Lord to set the Iranian people free.

Psalm 18:37, "I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed."

Psalm 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Joshua 5:14, “So He said, ‘No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.’ And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, ‘What does my Lord say to His servant?’”

Psalm 27:2,5, “When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell.”

Psalm 20:1, “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you.”

The Lord’s Banner of Victory in 2020: Beginning with Humbling and Repentance

Friday, January 3, 2020— “We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions” (Psalm 20:5).
As we enter 2020, we begin the year with a season of corporate fasting and prayer, humbling ourselves and seeking God’s presence. We turn away from pride and apathy. May the Lord hear from heaven, heed our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land according to 2 Chronicles 7:14.
The Lord's word to us this year is Psalm 20 and Exodus 17:15, "And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner." This is going to be a banner year! 2020 is a year of completion. His banner of victory is over us. Come boldly before the throne of grace for your family, your children, your church, your city, and your nation. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions and answer your heart's desire.

We want to agree with you during this fast. Click here to sign up for the fast, find our prayer focuses, and share specific needed breakthroughs so we can cover you and your family in the coming months.

Part 2: Fires in Australia

Pray for Australia as firefighters have been battling fires in New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia. Tens of thousands of people have evacuated their homes as the fires are predicted to intensify in the coming days. Eight people have lost their lives and more than seventeen people are missing as fires have destroyed thousands of homes and countless wildlife. Agree together for the mercy of the Lord to bring relief to Australia. Pray a hedge of protection for those in the danger zones, and ask for supernatural help in bringing the fires under control. Speak shalom to the region and pray comfort for all those who have lost loved ones, homes, businesses, and properties.

2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Ezra 8:21-23, “Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, ‘The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.’  So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.”
Exodus 17:15, "And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner."
Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Exodus 33:14, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Deuteronomy 8:7-10, “For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.”

Deuteronomy 11:11-12, “But the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.”
