Weekly Watch Focus: Purim—Deliverance of God's People

FRIDAY, March 6, 2020—The Bible marks this time of the year as the Feast of Purim (March 10, 2020), a memorial to the great deliverance which God wrought for His people in the time of Esther (Esther 9). The spirit of Haman is alive today threatening Jews and also Christians. Let us bind the spirit of Haman, which is the antichrist spirit, and declare that the Lord God of Israel will make all the nations honor His promises for Israel. Bless Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray especially for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he is tasked with forming a government following this week’s elections. Rejoice in the mighty God who is more than able to deliver and protect His people. Pray for individuals and families who need a great deliverance and supernatural healing.
 
For the Jewish people, Purim is also a specific time set aside for extra laughter and joy, rejoicing in the defeat of the enemies of the God of Israel. May we experience a fresh infilling of the Spirit who fills our mouths with laughter and our tongues with joyful singing (Psalm 126:1-2).
Also, in this season of trepidation regarding the coronavirus, we continue to declare the banner of the Lord’s victory and deliverance from this plague. The Lord is our shield. Plead the blood over your nation, city, and home as we bind back the power of death and fear behind this viral outbreak.

Part 2 – Pray for Nashville

Pray for all who are recovering after devastating tornadoes ripped through Nashville and the Middle Tennessee region on Tuesday night. Hundreds have lost homes, and twenty-five people lost their lives. There are still at least 77 people who are unaccounted for as rescuers search through the debris for more survivors. Pray for the families grieving for the loss of their loved ones. Pray for all the rescue and emergency responders who are helping families deal with the loss, grief, and damage wreaked by this storm. Pray that government agencies like FEMA will be efficient in bringing aid. Bind the spirit of destruction and pray blessing, protection, peace, and supernatural deliverance from further tornadoes and disasters. 

Esther 4:14, “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Psalm 126:1-2, “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’”

Psalm 107:20, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Exodus 15:6, “Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
