Weekly Watch Focus: Schools

FRIDAY, August 14, 2020— At this hour, many states and school districts are still determining their plans for opening in Fall 2020. Pray that God will give divine guidance to those in authority on ways to open schools safely so that children will be able to attend school. Many medical professionals and other nations have found that children are the least affected by the virus. At the same time teacher’s unions are resisting the opening of schools over fears of extensive spread of COVID-19. Pray for the many families who will be homeschooling their children this year, and that the Lord will give wisdom and strength to families to teach their children at home. Pray special grace for families who are just starting out in homeschooling. Pray for safety and protection for all our children and their families as they enter this new school year.

Part 2: National Elections

America is nearing the final weeks before holding national elections on November 3, 2020 to choose our president, senators, congressmen, state governors, and local officials. Pray every day for the upcoming elections, putting up a covering of prayer for America. Bind manipulation of the electorate by media, political officials, and lawmakers. Pray that the candidates of God's choice will truly protect America and her liberties and that Judeo-Christian values will come out victorious. Pray that God will cover the entire election process and protect America from fraud and corruption, especially if it is necessary to hold elections via mail. Loose holy angels over this battle, and lift up high praises to God Most High in the coming weeks.

Psalm 127:3, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

Isaiah 54:13, “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”

Psalm 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

1 Timothy 2:1-4, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Matthew 18:18-20, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
