Weekly Watch Focus: Hurricane Laura - Rebuke the Storm

Friday, August 28, 2020—Hurricane Laura made landfall on the Louisiana coast Thursday as a dangerous category 4 storm. Stand in the gap for Louisiana, Texas, and the Southeastern region in Laura’s path. Rebuke Hurricane Laura in Jesus’ name. Speak shalom to the winds, and declare that the waters recede. Bind the destructive forces of this storm and put a hedge of protection over everyone in its path. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!

Part 2: Peace for Wisconsin and our Cities

Violent protests broke out in Kenosha, Wisconsin this week after police shot and injured a man while responding to a domestic violence call. Unruly crowds responded to the news with looting, arson, and clashes in the streets. Two people have died as a result of the violence. Pray for the peace of our cities and urban areas. Bind back anarchy, Marxism, destruction, and lawlessness. Pray for the homes and businesses being destroyed. Pray for our mayors, governors, city council members, and local law enforcement. Many police forces feel local authorities have turned their back on them as things get intense. Pray for the families of these police forces who are daily putting their lives in danger, keeping the peace. Pray for godly men and women to rise up and take back our culture and cities for righteousness sake.

Psalm 60:1b ,2, "Oh, restore us again! You have made the earth tremble; You have broken it; heal its breaches, for it is shaking."

Psalm 46:1-3, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.”

Jeremiah 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

Colossians 2:15, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
