A Call to Fast and Pray: OVERCOME

Friday, January 8th, 2021 -

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will grant to Him…”

We begin this year with a forty day fast, January 6th-February 13th, 2021, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord and that Jesus has won the victory. Allow the Spirit of God to breathe the breath of life, refreshing, and fire into your heart. Receive clear vision, open ears to hear, readied hands, strengthened arms, and a heart filled with courage! We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the power of our testimony.

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” (Isaiah 35)
We commission and release the angel armies, the hosts of the living God to do battle! Pour out the vengeance of God on His enemies and the enemies of His people and force a recompense! As our watch captain, Katie, shared last week, the enemies of God will turn on each other and destroy themselves. The Lord has heard and seen His people crying out. He is dressed for battle, and He will move, for His mercy endures forever.

Our nation, as a beacon for the liberty God has ordained for men, needs prayer and fasting. The world and the nations cry out for the manifestation of the sons of God. We will overcome the enemy!

Overcomer! Intercede with us.

We will not squander the potential, the uniqueness of America. God was involved in the formation of America in a unique way. That is not lost because of workings of men. It is won in the victory of our God. It has come to our generation to see clearly the potential of losing what is so special and sacred about His call on us all, and we now must fast and pray and do what it takes to press in for the sake of the gospel. We commit to the vision of God for America! We commit to the vision of God for the nations!

What is the practical responsibility of the church in addition to prayer and fasting and corporate intercession? How does that effect each of us individually in our lives? Train your children seriously, value the sacred place of the LOCAL church in your community, preach the gospel individually, and direct your resources toward influence for the kingdom. Don’t sit on the sidelines. Get involved, local politics especially, business, education, and culture. Be salt and light and transform the kingdoms of this earth with the Holy Spirit, now!

Our moment now is a forced reckoning in the church. The average Christian has SHALLOW biblical theological foundation, and this has influenced our culture in profound ways that we must reverse. This includes the biblical foundations in the realm of the prophetic. This is a new Independence Day for the gospel. Christians, OVERCOME! We will be addressing these things in the coming days and weeks further. (Join us online for our live services on Friday night and on Sunday morning.)

During this corporate fast, our focus will come from the words of Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last:

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will grant to Him…”

1: Revelation 2:7, “…to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”

In this fast, we are feeding on God and sharing in the life and the knowledge of God. Remember to take communion every day, if possible. As we feed on Him and His presence, we receive His eternal, abundant life. We thank You, Lord, that in every season of life, in every challenge we face, in every circumstance, and in ultimately facing the last enemy, which is mortal death, we already have obtained the victory over all in You! We lay hold of Your eternal knowledge and truth through Your Holy Presence and partake in this victory and in the knowledge and life and truth of You.

God has given man sovereign will and the freedom to choose, yet in the garden man chose to be ABLE to choose EVIL. The result of this evil was that man could not live forever as he was originally intended. The way to the tree of life was barred. A Cherubim with a flaming sword blocked the way. This is a type of the obstacle of death. The same death that Christ faced on the cross. As He conquered death, He gave us entrance into eternal life once again. Now we have entered into a new freedom and eternal existence through and in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

We will continue our focus through this fast and after in line with and expounding upon this scripture.

“To him who overcomes I will grant to Him…

2: Revelation 2:11, “…he shall not be hurt by the second death.”

3. Revelation 2:17a, “… I will give some of the hidden manna to eat.”

4. Revelation 2:17b, “… And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”

5. Revelation 2:26, “… I will give power over the nations.

6. Revelation 3:5, “… he shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

7. Revelation 3:12, “… I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

8. Revelation 3:21, “…I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

9. Revelation 21:7, “… he shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”

Romans 8:15, “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.””

The Lord gives us courage in this year of overcoming and answered prayer. May God fulfill all that He has spoken, every promise. May the Lord, the Just Judge, have mercy on us and have mercy on our children. Lord Jesus, vindicate the people of God and vindicate the truth of Your gospel in this hour. Tear down every lie.

We speak a blessing over your family. We speak a blessing over this nation. We bless President Trump and every branch of governance with the supernatural light and truth to emerge now out from any darkness or power of the enemy. We bless Israel and Jerusalem. We bless and ask for the nations! We call each by name! We present them to the Father, in Jesus’ mighty name!

Join us in the fast and share your specific prayer needs. We will agree with you for victory with miracles, signs and wonders in 2021!

* There is not a need for you as an individual to fast a full forty days. Feel free to participate in this fast at the level and intensity that is comfortable for you. You may do a partial fast, skip one meal a day on your fasting days, or a Daniel fast (fruits and vegetables). Ask the Lord how He would have you participate.
