St. Patrick’s Breastplate: Christ Surround Us, and Tear Down Your Enemies

Declare:

St. Patrick wrote this in 433 A.D. for divine protection before successfully converting the Irish King Laoghaire and his subjects from paganism to Christianity and confronting ancient powers of witchcraft, religion, and idolatry. As we have celebrated St. Patrick’s Day this week, and move closer to celebrating Passover and Easter, our eyes are on Jesus Christ our Passover Lamb, and as watchmen we are pray for a great turnaround back to God in our nation and the nations of the earth. We thank You, Lord for the victory, for the finished work of Jesus on the cross. We plead the blood of the Lamb over ourselves, our children, and our nation.
 
Colossians 2:15, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
 
We bind the evil spirits of witchcraft and manipulation from empowering government authorities, the media, academics, and voices around the globe who set themselves against the truth of Christ and against the Spirit-filled church, attacking families, church leaders, and consuming our culture. This spirit tries to replace and destroy God-given authority in churches and nations. In our nation, this power substitutes humanism and socialism for the Judeo-Christian values that we honor. Typified in the Bible by Jezebel who tried to destroy God-given leaders, this evil seeks to replace the Godly with those who bow to evil. Lord, release the Elijah anointing to break the spirit of witchcraft. Pray, “Come Holy Spirit of God and give us victory over this evil power. Release revival and the spirit of Elijah in our midst.”
 
Malachi 4:5-6, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
 
As Moses and the Children of Israel celebrated Passover, the cloud of God’s glory covered the tabernacle, the tent of testimony. In the evening, it was over the tabernacle like appearance of fire until morning. Lord, we welcome a mighty wave of glory over every house, heart, mind, and body. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be present in every home. Let every eye see Jesus’ glory. We pray for the nations that the fire of your manifest presence would come down and intervene into all darkness and that you would lead us out of this thick darkness into the break of day.
 
Numbers 9:15-16, “Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire. So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.”
 
We declare that “The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings” (Malachi 4:2). We thank You are rising with healing for our land. Now Lord in the midst of your glory, we ask for miraculous visitation. We thank you for the many testimonies of your miracles and blessings in Jesus’ name.
 
Isaiah 64:1-2, "Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at Your presence…to make Your name known to Your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at Your presence!"
