Watch Focus – Advent: Pray for Armed Forces and Law Enforcement
As we continue to celebrate Advent and the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray for and honor those who serve in the Armed Forces and in Law Enforcement. We bless those who serve in every branch of our military, especially for those protecting our freedom far from home during Christmas. May they know divine protection, comfort, and joy. Many of these who defend our liberties will be separated from their loved ones. May they be comforted and carried under your wings of protection.
We thank God for all those who serve in Law Enforcement, these men and women who serve us and our communities on a daily basis to keep us safe. We ask for their safety and guidance. May our local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies have godly wisdom and divine protection as they try to make the U.S. and its borders safe and secure. May law and order be restored, and may shalom come to our cities as we put a prayer shield over them. We pray for a restoration of honor for those who serve this Christmas season.
1 Timothy 2:1-2, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
Psalm 91:4, 11, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”2 Corinthians 13:14, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy spirit be with you all. Amen”
Psalm 27:2-5, “When the wicked came against me . . . they stumbled and fell . . . One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
Jeremiah 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”
Lamentations 5:21, “Turn us back to You, O LORD, and we will be restored; renew our days as of old.”
